GETTING TO HOUSTON
For your convenience, we've compiled general information about visiting the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.
Airports
William P. Hobby (HOU): Located just 7 miles south of Downtown Houston, William P. Hobby Airport is the hub for more than 14 million passengers annually and accommodates primarily local and regional flights.
George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH): George Bush Intercontinental Airport has more than 45 million passengers per year and it is located approximately 23 miles north of Downtown Houston. This airport is the best bet for international flights.

GETTING AROUND TOWN
There are multiple transportation options to navigate Houston! We have listed some options below and you can check out the Visit Houston page for more information.
Taxi
The City of Houston has authorized a flat taxi fare of $6 for all trips in the downtown area. This $6 fare will apply anywhere within the Central Business District, bounded by Interstate 45, Interstate 10 and U.S. 59. Note that this does not apply to taxi rides from the aiports, which have their own, metered fees. See more detailed information on the Visit Houston website.
Bus & Metro
Visitors can use the trains, buses, or a combination of the two to get to get around the area. Check out the METRO website to get more details about exploring Houston and the surrounding area.
