WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Join a diverse group of attendees, including women leaders from national companies, organizations, and the global United Way Network—such as United Way staff and volunteers, Women United members, and male allies. This event is ideal for leaders interested in gaining insights into professional growth, community engagement, and women’s leadership, while discovering actionable tools for impactful community change. 

IF I DON’T IDENTIFY AS FEMALE, CAN I STILL ATTEND? 

Absolutely! We welcome and encourage attendees of all gender identities to join us in uplifting female leadership and professional development who desire to drive positive community change.  

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE IN BALTIMORE? 

Check in opens on Tuesday Oct. 22, at 7:30 a.m., and formal programming begins at 10 a.m. with a meet-and-greet opportunity with Angela Williams, CEO of United Way Worldwide, followed by a brunch at 11 a.m. with all attendees. A conference badge is required to access all sessions, so please arrive before 11 a.m. to check in to receive your attendee badge.

If you registered for the Tuesday morning training session from 8 to 10 a.m., please plan to arrive on Monday, Oct. 21. You’re welcome to check in one day early on Monday between 4 and 5 p.m. If you’re an early riser, we’re providing an optional wellness activity on Tuesday at 5:30 a.m.   

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? 

The Women Uniting for Good is an informal event and business casual is recommended.

I HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS, CAN THE EVENT ACCOMMODATE MY NEEDS? 

Yes. Please be sure to indicate your dietary needs during the registration process. We will do our best to accommodate your dietary needs and will contact you directly if more information is required to ensure your meals are included in our catering schedule. 

WHAT LEARNING AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES WILL I HAVE AT THIS EVENT?

Attendees will experience six professional development and four networking opportunities to acquire new skills and enhance leadership abilities, empowering women to drive positive change effectively in their community, workplace, or at home. For those already engaged with United Way, we’re offering a unique training in addition to the slate of sessions to deepen your commitment to your United Way journey/career path.

This conference features three general sessions, three breakouts, and networking meal functions all featuring female thought leaders. Complete lists of sessions and speakers are available to view on the AGENDA and SPEAKERS tabs.

IS THERE A MOBILE APP?

Yes! Within the event app, attendees can access the Women Uniting for Good agenda, venue map, session speakers and attendees, share photos, and more! You’ll gain access to the mobile app closer to the event’s start date so keep an eye out for that announcement and instructions on how to download and navigate the app.  

WHAT ARE THE CONFERENCE FEES? 

We are pleased to offer a reduced early bird registration fee of $350 per person if registered before Aug. 15. Standard registration is $400 per person offered from Aug. 16 through Sept. 27. Your registration includes three general sessions, three breakout sessions, brunch, and a hors d’eourves networking reception on Oct. 22, as well as breakfast and lunch on Oct. 23. Dinner on Tuesday evening following the networking reception is not included in the conference fee. 

CAN I REGISTER ON-SITE? 

Space is limited so we encourage you to register early as we anticipate it will sell out, so onsite registration is not currently available. If there is attendee capacity after Sept. 27, on-site registration will be offered at $450 per person. 

CAN I REGISTER FOR ONE DAY ONLY?  

Conference registration and fees apply to the full agenda with no prorated fees for late arrival or early departure.  

HOW DO I MAKE MY HOTEL RESERVATIONS? 

A pre-negotiated room rate is offered at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel for your convenience. The room block reservation link will be included in your registration confirmation email. 

IS THERE A VENDOR EXHIBITION? 

No, this event does not feature an exhibition.  

I CAN’T BE THERE IN-PERSON. WILL SESSIONS BE STREAMED OR AVAILABLE ON-DEMAND? 

There are no plans for this event to be virtual or available on-demand at a later date. 

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL? 

In the event you need to cancel, cancellations made on or before Sept. 27 will be subject to a $100 cancellation fee; cancellations made after Sept. 27 are non-refundable. To make changes or cancel your registration, please click here.

If you can’t attend but a colleague can take your place, substitutions are permitted until Sept. 27. Cancellation fees will be waived for substitutions. If you would like to request a substitution, please reach out to events@unitedway.org with your name and the name and email address of the person taking your place.   

WHAT IS THE CURRENT COVID POLICY?  

Currently, United Way Worldwide (UWW) does not have a COVID-19 policy and masks are not required. During the event, we encourage following recommended health and safety protocols, including regular handwashing, maintaining social distance, avoiding poorly ventilated spaces, and self-isolating if you feel ill or test positive for COVID.  Should you become ill or test positive for COVID-19, we request that attendees remove themselves from participation and notify events@unitedway.org. United Way reserves the right to deny entry to or remove anyone at the event presenting with flu-like or COVID-19-related symptoms. Refusal to abide by United Way Worldwide’s health safety related procedures may result in removal from the program and cancellation of registration without refund. 

While various preventative measures are in place for various illnesses, United Way Worldwide cannot guarantee that attendees will not be exposed while attending the conference. Each attendee assumes the risks associated with attendance at an in-person event.
