UNITED WAY FELLOWSHIP ALUMNI EVENT

 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

The Fellowship Program provides participants the opportunity to build their practical leadership skills and cultivate a mindset of curious exploration with a cohort of true peers. Delivered in 3 sessions across 7 months, the program facilitates participants' mastery of the following skills:

  • Colloboration: building a diverse network and improving relationships in order to source better information and make better decisions
  • Investigation: identifying the root causes of problems and developing more creative solutions aligned to the strategic priorities of participants' United Ways
  • Persuasion: crafting and delivering powerful messages that appeal to hearts and minds in order to influence decisions and lead change

NOTE: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Fellowship Program will be delivered virtually with no additional time commitments. Each session will be divided into 2.5-hour or 4-hour time blocks and carried out over several weeks.

 WHAT OUR ATTENDEES SAY

“The Fellowship Program pushed me to learn more about the entire United Way organization, the amazing people working within the network and the incredible impact we have on our communities every single day. I grew both professionally and personally and credit the program for giving me stronger direction as it pertains to my career. The Fellowship was, by far, the best professional experience I’ve ever had and I will always be grateful for the UWW staff and my fellow fellows for the experience.”

Chris Morgan, Associate Director of Resource Development, United Way of Geauga County

"Everything I've learned in this course has already made a huge difference in how I approach and handle every aspect of my job. I'm listening better (and differently), I'm getting feedback from people outside my normal peer group, and the list goes on. This course took me way out of my comfort level. I embraced it and loved it."

Emily Campbell, Director of Processing, Indiana United Ways
