EFFECTIVE PRESENTATION SKILLS
Learn and hone the effective presentation and communication skills needed to be an effective presenter: understand the audience's intention and what it will take to capture their attention, take a critical lens to your non-verbal communication style, keep an audience engaged, how to deftly handle the dreaded Q&A, and guide the conversation forward.
This virtual training is unique with its blend of self-directed learning (4 modules) coupled with your own practice, which is then followed by direct feedback specific to you from an expert communications coach.
The program is delivered by our leadership program's partner, The Communication Center. Listen in to 4 recorded modules. After the first, second, and third modules participants record their practice. A coach then provides direct feedback on the recording with tips to improve.
Use the skills and the coaching to improve your presentation and communication skills and ensure your audience - whether small group or large room, internal or external, or in-person or virtual - can act on your key message.
Interested? Registration is handled on a monthly basis. Register by the 15th of each month to start on the 1st of the following month. The program is designed to be completed within 60 days.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This program is designed for United Way professionals of all skill levels.
Those who deliver presentations or communicate to any group - small, large, internal, external, online or in-person - will find practical tips and advice from the recorded modules and coaching to be put into pracctice right away.
Standard participant registration cost for this program is $550 per attendee
MULTIPLE PARTICIPANT DISCOUNT
Have more than one team member? Have each subsequent participant receive a $50 discount. To receive this discount, each participant should register separately at the full tuition price. Once registration has closed, each UW with multiple registrants will be discounted $50 per additional registration. The discount(s) will reflect in the final payment.
