NEW EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP ONBOARDING
To effectively deliver on our mission of improving lives in today’s highly competitive environment, a thriving United Way must excel in community leadership, drive equitable community impact, build a strong reputation accross many audiences and channels, activate diverse revenue streams, all grounded in a strong organizational foundation. The United Way Executive Director or CEO leads these changes necessary for success.
The United Way New Executive Leadership Onboarding (NELO) program supports incoming leaders, whether they come from United Way backgrounds or not, in driving their organization to become a thriving United Way and in improving its performance.
This program is built on four, 4-hours modules that will provide new leaders with support, community, and growth opportunities as they begin their journey as a United Way CEO.

WHAT OUR ATTENDEES SAY
“When I first saw the NELO time commitment, I wondered whether it would be a good investment of my time. As we know, all new United Way CEOs are drinking from a fire hose within a constantly changing landscape. But I took a chance, and I’m glad I did. I found NELO to be filled with valuable information and insights, and met and learned from my fellow CEOs. If you are a new CEO, I encourage you to make this investment of time. Don’t miss out on this opportunity.”
