IS THIS CONFERENCE REALLY FREE?
Yes, you read that correctly! Donor Engagement in a New Normal is free for all United Way staff and volunteers. Because the content we will be sharing is critical to the success of our network in the wake of COVID-19, we want to make sure that all United Ways have an opportunity to benefit. Although the event is free, you will still need to register to participate in the live event.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Since Donor Engagement in a New Normal is a virtual event with on-camera networking opportunities, we encourage you to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident. Live United gear is always appropriate, as well as your new remote work uniform, but we recommend you at least change out of your pajamas!
WHAT TECHNICAL SET-UP DO I NEED TO PARTICIPATE?
To participate in this virtual event, you will need a laptop or desktop computer with a reliable Internet connection. Make sure to select a device with a camera for a more personal virtual networking experience! As the event approaches, you will receive more detailed instructions via email for logging in to and using our virtual platform.
WHAT NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES WILL I HAVE AT THIS EVENT?
Although we can’t get together in person, we will still have plenty of networking opportunities! At different points in the schedule you will have the option to participate in virtual happy hours (or coffee hours!) with colleagues in your functional area, affinity group, or geographic region. Invitations and details on these ancillary events will be forthcoming. Our conference programming will also include opportunities to engage in collaborative activities, meaningful discussions, guided problem-solving and more. We encourage you to use breaks between general and breakout sessions to continue the conversation and connect with other participants through our virtual platform. Click here to see more details.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
We’re so sorry you can’t join us! Because this event is free, there will be no cancellation fees. Even if you can’t participate in the live event, we recommend that you not cancel your registration so that you can receive immediate access to on-demand content following the event.
WHAT IF I CAN'T ATTEND THIS EVENT LIVE?
After the conference, all United Way staff will receive on-demand access to event content for free. Those who register for the event will receive immediate access to recorded content through our virtual event platform. In mid-October, we will make relevant content available to all via United Way Online.
